October 29, 1932 - June 9, 2011

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice Nykyforchyn in Kamloops, B.C. at the age of 78 years.

She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Margaret Kramer and her brother and sister-in-law Lynn and Delphine Kramer. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law John Poncelet.

Left to mourn her passing are her husband of 45 years, John Nykyforchyn, along with her sons Peter and Bryan; her sister Evelyn Poncelet of Meacham, SK; brother Ken (Kathrine) Kramer of Bruno, SK. Also left to cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.

Bernice was born in Bruno, SK and lived her early life there. She moved to Saskatoon and worked for eight years in the Central Sterilization Department at City Hospital. Shortly after marrying in 1966, she moved to Vancouver, B.C., eventually settling in Kamloops in 1973 to raise her family. She was an active volunteer in the parish, especially with the CWL and will be dearly missed by all.

Prayers will be recited at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Sunday, June 12th, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OLPH Church on Monday, June 13th, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.

The family would like to thank Dr. James Howie and all the medical staff on 7 North at Royal Inland Hospital for their excellent care.

Interment will take place in Bruno, SK at a later date.
