ESTEY, DONALD O. (Jim) - On Saturday, June 11, 2011, Jim (Donald) Estey passed away peacefully at York Manor. Jim was the youngest sibling of his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Gertrude (Abernethy) and Rowley Estey. Beloved husband of the late Doris (Hughes) Estey. Loving father of Roxine Bailey, Patricia Perlberg, Richard (Stephanie Hardy) and Calvin (Debbie O'Donnell). Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Tanya Milner) Bailey, Jennifer (Scott McAndrew) and Jonathan Perlberg, Amanda (Willy Newman) Estey, Vanessa Sutherland, James (Sera Colpitts) and Andrew Estey. Great grandfather of Emma and Mira Bailey, Jake and Julie Newman, Valeska, Wyatt and William Estey, and Chase and Bryn McAndrew. Survived by in-laws Inez Estey, Reta Derrah, Shirley Koshowski, Rose Marie Hughes, Donald and Isabel Hughes. Predeceased by brothers, Dell and Dean Estey, and sisters, Allie (Maurice Pond) and Florence (Dow Abernethy) as well as son-in-law, Wayne Bailey. Dearly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road on Monday, June 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 14, at 11 a.m. at the Greenwood Drive Baptist Church, Barker's Point with Pastor Gordon Cook officiating with internment following the service at Sunny Bank Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, York Manor or a charity of your choice.
