Kendrick "Ken" Horne

HORNE, KENDRICK "KEN" H. - Kendrick “Ken” H. Horne, 67, of Moncton and formerly of Mill River, PEI, with his loving wife and daughters by his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday morning, June 11, 2011. Born in Alberton, PEI, he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy (MacKendrick) Horne. Ken was employed all his working life up until the time of his illness with Spring Wall East, Scoudouc, NB, (44 years service) as top sales rep for the Maritimes and Canada and attended Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed yard work, listening to old country music, was an avid hockey fan especially the Toronto Maple Leafs and enjoyed socializing with his family and friends. Ken will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Eva (Burton) Horne, his daughters, Myrna (Cecil) and Tanya (Rick); precious grandsons, Leland (Madeline), Dakota and grand daughter, Melissa (Mike); cherished great grandchildren, Emma and Marshall; sisters, Norma (Harold), Margie (Layton), Sheila (Arthur), Bev (Don), Barb and Myrna (Carter); brothers, Allan (Phyllis) and Donnie (Darlene); special friend, Maisie Martin; aunt Miriam and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; he will also be sadly missed by the Burton family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert and sister, Eleanor.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Monday 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Forwarded to Ferguson Funeral Home, O’Leary, PEI (902-859-2768), for visitation on Tuesday June 14, from 12pm to 2pm. Funeral Service will be held at Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O’Leary, PEI, on Tuesday June 14, 2011 at 2:00pm with Pastor Dale Thistle officiating. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Alberton, PEI. Special thanks to Extra-Mural Driscoll Unit, especially Darlene and Natasha, staff on 4th and 6th floor of The Moncton Hospital and our Pastor Dale for all the calls, visits and prayers. Our church family at Lutes Mountain, our home care providers Bayshore, especially Chelsey Kennedy.
