Higgins, Evangeline Thelma, 90, Bible Hill, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 in The Mira, Long Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in North River, she was a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Nelson) Delaney. Evangeline enjoyed going to the cottage on the Brule Shores. She loved to bowl, was an awesome cook and loved to take photos of her family.
She is survived by; sons Gary, Bible Hill, Roger, Alberta, Eugene (Kathy), Dartmouth; daughters, Rosalie Slack (Stan), Lantz; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Mrs. Ethel MacKay, Edmonton, AB.
She was predeceased by her husband Malcolm; brothers, Hiram, Percy, Albert.
Visitation will take place 6 to 8 pm Tuesday and where funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 15th, at 12:00 pm all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro with Mrs. Kenda MacLellan Officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
