Carl Joseph Leefe - 71, of Kentville, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 11, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late John and Madeline (MacPherson) Leefe. He had been employed as a sales representative with Willard’s and later Ganong’s Chocolates. He had been employed with the Department of Transportation until retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville. He is survived by a son, Mark (Doris), Kentville; a brother, James (Marnie), Florida and Prince Edward Island; four grandchildren, Curtis, Zachary, Spencer and Van Marcus. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marilyn Annette “Ann” Cunningham. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 with prayers to be held at 8:00 p.m., both in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father Craig Christenson officiating. Burial took place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
