Peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, September 6, 2009, of Mr. Gordon “Gluck” Gallant of Charlottetown in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Prunty) Gallant and dear father of Helen (Stan) Johnston, Gordon Jr., Phyllis Sellar, Jimmy and Pat (Annie). He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Cindy, Cissy, Margie, Stanley, Melissa, Patrick, Matthew, Simon and Tommy, his great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa and Jordan, sister-in-law Pearl Gallant and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Gallant, his sister, Marge Falls and brother James Gallant.Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Thursday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Center.
