FILLION, JOSEPH ROGER - J. Roger Fillion of Nackawic, NB passed away June 12, 2011 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at St. Moise, Quebec in 1936, he was a son of Ernestine (Michaud) Fillion and the late André Fillion. Roger was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 8409 Fredericton. Roger is survived by his wife, Madeleine A. (Beaulieu) Fillion; his children, Alain Fillion (Twila) and André Fillion (Melanie), both of Hainesville, NB, Nathalie Wilson (Lyle) and Sonia Brewer (Neville), both of Zealand; his mother, Ernestine Fillion, St. Moise, Quebec; twelve grandchildren; seven sisters, Rachel Lavoie (Lucien) Monique Harvey (Clément), Andrea Otis (Bertrand), Ida Beaulieu (Roland), Carmen Morissette (René), Denise LeClerc (Michel) and Rolande Fillion (Paul), all of Quebec; five brothers, Roland Fillion (Monique), Canterbury, NB, Robert Fillion (Jeannine), Jean-Louis Fillion (Roselyne), Yvon Fillion (Rejeanne) and Jean-Guy Fillion (Noëlla), all of Quebec; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours by his request. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church, 199 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Celebrant Father Donald Savoie. Interment at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church hall. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Roger, the family has suggested the NB Lung Association.
