(September 18, 1924 - September 5, 2009) — Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by his parents, Dan (1962) and Mary (1973); sister Florence (1996),(Albert 2005) Piercey, sister Thelma (2007). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Marion; son Terry (Dot); son David (Bridgie), their children: James, Erica and Daniel; son Douglas (Virginia), their children: Vanessa and Michael; daughter Gloria (Ralph Lee), their children: Elizabeth and Curtis; son Eric; son Steven (Amanda). Also leaving to mourn his special great nieces Norah and Kathleen Quinlan. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral service to take place at St. George’s Anglican Church, Petty Harbour at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
