LeBLANC, CERITA AGATHA - The passing of Cerita A. LeBlanc (nee Saulnier) of McAdam, NB occurred peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a courageous battle fighting cancer for over four years. Cerita was born on October 1, 1936 in Concession, NS, a daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn (Gaudet) Saulnier. She will be missed by her husband of 54 years, Alyre LeBlanc; a son, Edward LeBlanc (Carol Anne) and a daughter, Zena MacMaster (Glen), both of McAdam, NB; grandchildren, Krista (Greg) of McAdam, NB, Trever (Crystal) of Florenceville, NB, Samantha and Jesse of McAdam, NB, Diane MacKay (Andy) of McAdam, NB and Julia Cleghorn (Bryce) of Tweedside, NB; great grandchildren, Jasmine, Desmon, Hailey and Dustin; her sisters, Dora Jacquard of Yarmouth, NS and Anne Marie Gaudett (Bill) of Ajax, ON; her brother, Camille Saulnier of Church Point, NS as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cerita was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lisa Marie as well as several brothers and sisters. Cerita will be remembered as a remarkably strong and caring woman. Her love of family and friends was immense, as was her love of her Catholic faith and praying the Rosary. She loved being involved in the community and volunteering, especially at the Lakeland Thrift Shop. She enjoyed sewing, music and her flower gardens, especially roses and sunflowers. She also loved animals, especially her special cat Bosco.
Visitation will take place at St. Clement’s Catholic Church, McAdam, NB on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Fr. John Keoughan officiating. Interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery.
