With loving hearts and great sadness, we the family regret to announce the passing of John on June 12, 2011, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of Catherine (Kay MacDonald) LeLoup and the late Wilson LeLoup.
John was a third generation horseman of the LeLoup family, whom he shared his love for harness racing, roosters and hound dogs with his predeceased father Wilson and best friend Ronnie Ward.
John is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Bruton); children, Lisa (Jason) and John, both of New Waterford; mother, Kay; sister, Rosslyn; and brother, Paul (Sandra), Halifax; special nephew, Arron; as well as other family members and friends.
Visitation will take place Thursday, June 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and a funeral service will be held Friday, June 17 at 2 p.m. in Calvin United Church, Smith Street, with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Burial to follow in Union Grove Cemetery and luncheon in Calvin Hall.
Arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500.
