Marshall, John Arthur, Scarborough, Ont./formerly of Springhill, N.S.

John Arthur Marshall, 83, passed away in the early hours of June 8, 2011, at Scarborough Grace Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Springhill, N.S. on July 4, 1927 he was a son of the late Arthur Edward & Aveleen Regina (Mitchell) Marshall. He moved to Toronto in 1946 where he made his home for the past 64 years. He was the retired co-owner of Mr. Rent-All, was a past member of the AYPA, Scouts Canada and was a Past Master of Antiquity Lodge, #571, GRC.

He is survived by his wife Helen (Rae) and son James, Toronto. Also surviving are sisters Ardythe (George) Tabor and Shirley (Gordon) Canning, both of Springhill and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Margaret (Floyd) Smith.
