It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley Pittman announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the age of 67 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Clayton; two sons: Boyd (Lori Ann Kennedy) and Chris (Susan Murphy); four beautiful grandchildren: Emily, Brent, Joseph and Julie; mother: Mrs. Harriett Nicolle; brothers: Clifford (late Olive), Wilson (Joyce), Walter (Vida), Jim (Lavern), Wade (Rachel), Kevin (Karen), Gary (Geniene) and Ernest Nicolle; sisters: Dora (Guy) Timmons, Laura (John) Allen, Diane (late Keith) Mitchell, Linda (Irving) Decker and Eileen Nicolle; mother-in-law: Caroline Pittman; brothers and sisters-in-law: Effie (Jessie) Payne, Jennie (late Carl) White, Richard (late Elsie) Pittman, Mae (Ralph) Chippett, Nancy (Dave) Stuckless, Collin Pittman, Austin (Jean) Pittman and Dean (late Lola) Pittman, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and her special cat, Tiger. She was predeceased by her father, Philip Nicolle; brother: George and his wife, Geraldine; and father-in-law: Campbell Pittman. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 17 at 2 p.m. from All Saints Church, Clarence Street. Reverend Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
