Seaman Clifford Brown

Born In: Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

Passed in: Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
Passed on: November 14th, 2008

BROWN, Seaman Clifford –1950-2008. Cliff worked his life on the sea. He was part of the most dangerous and arduous profession; that of a fisherman and he loved it! Cliff was an activist during the 1980’s, working tirelessly on letter writing campaigns raising awareness of foreign overfishing. He was known to many but those who knew him best remember him at his best. For all those who cared and helped Cliff, we know you loved him and he was blessed to have you as friends. Our lives will be different now but we know that Cliff has found peace. Left remembering him; his parents, Colleen May, Wilson Brown, sister Allison Brown, nieces Krista and Ingrid, great-nieces, Niamh and Saoirse and cherished friend Denny Cohen. As well as a large circle of friends and relatives. Memorial service to be held on Saturday, November 22 at 2 p.m., St. Thomas’ Church, Military Road. Non-perishable food items for Emaus Food Bank accepted as offerings. We give thanks and we feel truly blessed by the acts of kindness and prayers that have held us up through this difficult time.
