RICHARD, THERESE - 1929-2011 - Acadieville - Therese Marie Richard (nee Doiron), wife of the late Leo Richard passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 14th, 2011, peacefully surrounded by her family, at the age of 81. Born August 28th, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Doiron and Cecile Caissie. She resided the greater part of her life in Acadieville where she brought up her family and taught school. Teaching was her passion and she did so for 35 years. She was well liked and respected by her community and the children she taught and left a special mark on many. She also had a passion for learning so after retiring she purchased a computer which became her pastime. She is survived by her children, Robert (Ginette) of Ottawa, Leo-Paul (Marie) of Saint John, Monique (Vincent) Daigle of Saint John, Camille (Susan) of Saint John, Aline (Joanne) McGraw of Australia, Edgar (Jeannette) of Saint John, Bella (Yvon) Arsenault of Saint John and Denise (Paul) Babin of Shediac. A special member of the family Josephat (Susan) Doiron, 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Cecile, and a great grand daughter, Catherine Brien, her brothers, Alcime (late Trudy), Albert (Jeannette), her sisters Anita Soucoup (late Gordon) on a Premilia Arsenault (late Clavis).
Resting at salon La Colombe of Rogersville with visitations on Thursday, June 16th and on Friday, June 17th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm and Saturday, June 18th from 9am until time of the funeral. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 18th at 11am in Acadieville. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donors choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of La Colombe of Tracadie-Sheila.
