Steele
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, of Theresa “Curly” Steele, of Summerside, aged 87 years. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Arsenault) Gillis. Survived by her children Danny (Ethel) Steele, Rodger Steele (Donna Bernard), Tommy (Susan) Steele, Dianne (Gary) Doucette, Holly Steele, Effie Steele (John Murray); eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother John Gillis, sisters Ramona (Peter) Mychajloury, Elizabeth (Dave) Sutton, Mary (Basil) Campbell, all of Ontario, and Anna (George) Reitmeire, Alberta. Predeceased by her husband Donald Steele; daughter Effie Theresa; son Victor; brothers Cecil and Clifford Gillis; and sisters Florence Jewett, Neva Graham and Effie Racette. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Friday from 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
