Former long time employee with St. John’s City Council. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday, September 5th, 2009. Vincent Valentine Whitty, aged 79 years. Predeceased by his parents Ellen (Finn) and Michael; brothers: David and Charles. Leaving to mourn his step-sister Rose in Florida and special friends Winnie and Monica as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 9th, 2009 at 11 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at the R.C. Cemetery, Bauline Line. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
