Aged 97 years. Passed away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a short illness on June 14, 2011. Predeceased by husband Raymond 1989. Leaving to mourn two daughters: June Mercer and husband Graham at Bay Roberts and Marion Matthews and husband Bill at Portugal Cove; one grandson Roger Mercer and his wife Robin in Ottawa; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. At Ruby's request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment to follow.
