5 years ago, the Lord called our dear father home to rest. He was a community pillar; a caring friend; a faithful husband; a loving father; and proud grandfather. There is not a day that goes by that he is not missed, but we hold tight to God’s promises. That is what he would want us to do. When we did not understand something, he would say: “God is good and he has a good plan…” We may no longer be able to pick up the phone or drop by for fatherly advice, but the wisdom he bestowed upon us is written in our hearts and his light continues to shine through everyone he reached out and touched with his gentle, loving spirit.
