It is with sadness that we announce the passing of J. Delmar Newman, of Tsawwassen (Delta), B.C., aged 61, on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Irene Thomas Hospice in Delta, B.C.
Delmar is formerly of New Haven, P.E.I. He was the beloved husband of Marcia Newman (nee McAllister) and loving father of Christian (Sheryl), Courtney and Paige. He is survived by one grandson, Matthew. He is also survived by his mother Phyllis Newman (Easton), brothers Dr. Lewis (Stella) and Kevin (Joanne), brother-in-law Lance McAllister (Lynda), uncle Arnold Easton (Tena), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father J. Stanley Newman, his infant sister Dulcie, his mother-in-law Kathleen McAllister and father-in-law Wilfred McAllister.
A “Celebration of Life” event will take place on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 2–4 p.m. at the The Coast Tsawwassen Inn, 1665 56th Street, Delta, B.C., V4L 2B2.
