Passed peacefully away in the presence of her son Gerry Butler and her granddaughter Chelsea Butler, on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, Olive Louise Butler, aged 82 years. Predeceased by her father Bela Stokes, mother Gwendolyn Stokes, brother Frank Stokes and sister Phyllis Stokes. Leaving to mourn her ex-husband Maxwell Butler; sons: Bob Baird, Geoff Butler, Gerry Butler and Stephen Butler; daughter Diane Smith; grandchildren: Regan Baird, Taylor Baird, Connor Baird, Carson Baird, Cailin Baird, Justin Butler, Michael Butler, Chelsea Butler and Gregory Smith; brothers: Ralph Stokes, Gordon Stokes and David Stokes; sisters: Gladys Stokes and Marjorie Stokes, other relatives: Elizabeth Butler, Cindy Butler, Audrey Stokes and Geoff Smith; special friends: Marie and Basil James, Kim Moores and family and Graham Moores and family, Ivy Trickett, Joyce Pye, Pastor Jeffrey Bateman and congregation of the First Baptist Church. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, June 16th and Friday, June 17th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 18th at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
