It is with deep sadness and love, we announce that Ella Gladys Rowe (nee Davis) passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge on Torbay Road in St. John’s with family by her side on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband Frederick E. Rowe (1989), sister Minnie Morris and three brothers Clifford, Melvin and Hubert Davis. Left to mourn are her daughters: Marilyn Mayo (Ted), Gander, Beverley Furlong (Gerard), Torbay, Debbie Sparkes (Roy), Bay Roberts and one son Elliott Rowe (Josephine). Labrador City; nine grandchildren: Cheryl Craig, Deanne, Shawn, Justin, Courtney, Stefan, Brittany and Adam; nine great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Mae Davis, Francis Taylor and Marge Barnes and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
