It is with great sadness that the families of the late Melvin Robert Ball announce his passing at his residence, on Monday, June 13, 2011, at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Sarah Cecila (Mae) nee Wright; his children: Robert Ball, Angela (Archibald Butt), Harriet (Wade Drover), Brenda (Dennis Hall) , and John (Belinda); his 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 brother, 7 sisters and also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. Melvin was predeceased by his brother Stratt, his parents Annie and Donald Ball. The family will be having a private memorial service on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Tony Newell officiating. Donations can be made to the St. Paul’s United Church Memorial Fund in Melvin’s memory and would be graciously accepted by the family.
