Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Hospital on September 7, 2009, surrounded by his loving family, James Abbott, aged 66 years. Predeceased by his mother Katherine Abbott and his father Frederick Abbott. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Rita (nee Hickey) of 45 years; daughters: Doris Howlett (Patty), Kendall Lamkin (Francis), Rita Butler (Greg), Jacqueline Abbott (Jim), and only son Fred (Lisa); Grandchildren: Jimmy (Stephanie), Justin, Chantal, Gary, Nathan, Keisha, Dominique, Sarah, James, Nicholas; sisters: Renee Cuthbertson (Alex), Jean (Saul), Anita (Denny), Shirley (Leonard), Glennis (Al); brothers: Ern (Barb), Gary (Virginia), Roy (Susie), Mark (Jennifer); Best buddy Chum Bragg and all his camping buddies. Also a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service on Friday from Caul’s Chapel at a time to be announced. Inurnment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
