BRUN, ODETTE - 1937 - 2011 - Odette Brun, 74, of Moncton, NB, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, June 17th, 2011, at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Cléophas and the late Alexina (née: Melanson) Melanson. Mrs. Brun was a member of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Parish and the Club d’Age d’Or. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Léo; one daughter, Janice Brun of Moncton; one son, Raymond (Andréa) Brun of New Maryland, NB; five sisters: Annette (late Albert) Girouard and Marguerite (Paul) Robichaud, both of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Anise (Roger) LeBlanc of Danbury, CT, Thérèse (Sylvio) Cormier and Alberta Melanson, both of Mississauga, ON; four grandchildren: Isabel, Eric, Marc and Véronique as well as several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers: Louis, Roméo, Normand and Aurèle.
Visitation will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 9: 30 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB on Tuesday, June 21st, 2011, at 11 am. Interment in Mont-Carmel Parish Cemetery, Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB.
