MUNROE, Kenneth Vaughn, 67, East Jordan, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Born in Pubnico he was a son of the late Charles and Mina (Brophy) Munroe. Vaughn was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked in the construction and forestry industry all of his working life. He was a very honest and hard-working man. He loved to sing and play his guitar and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was loved by all and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Vaughn is survived by his wife, Priscilla; sons, Kenneth (Lisa) N.B: John, Shelburne; Blair (Jessica) Halifax; brother, Kevin (Peggy) Munroe, Pleasant Point; sisters, Norma Murphy, Bridgewater; Sheila (Lorne) Weaver, Stewiacke; grand-children, Megan, Kyle, Kade, Mya and Alexa as well as several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 15 from St. Andrews United Church, Lockeport, with Rev. Beverley Burlock officiating. Interment at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the IWK Hospital, Diabetes Association or the V.O.N.
