Ardua Veronica Kalbhenn, 93, of 325 Cockburn St., New Waterford, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna Belle (Marsh) Razzolini.
Ardua was a member of the Parish Church of St. Leonard.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Anthony Kalbhenn, sons, Ludwig Jerome, Milton John and Manfred Augustus, sisters, Revolta Bois D’Enghien (her twin) and Gladys (P. Muise).
She is sadly missed by her son, Joseph Rudolph (Ellen), Foymount, Ont.; daughter, Anna Beatrice Roach (Peter), New Waterford; two brothers, Dante, Pembroke, Ont., Esperando (Marie), Dartmouth, N.S.; sister, Beatrice (A. Graves), Kingston, Ont.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A graveside service will be held at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney, N.S.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
