MELANSON, LORRAINE - Lorraine Melanson, 84, wife of the late Virgil “Fish” Melanson of Oasis d’Or, Dieppe, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011 following a sudden illness. Born in Newburyport, MA, she was the daughter of the late Maximin and Delma (Arsenault) Belliveau. She was employed with her husband at Hub Dental Lab prior to her retirement and volunteered at the Dr. G.-L. Dumont Hospital. Lorraine will be sadly missed by her three sons: Marc, Simon (Francine), and René ; a half-sister, Annette Fanelli. Besides her husband (2003), she is also predeceased by a son, Raymond (1985).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at N-D-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Thursday, June 23 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
