It is with saddened hearts, we the family of Tryphena Reid announce her peaceful passing at the Bell Island Hospital June 18, 2011 age 83. Predeceased by husband Arthur Reid Jan. 27th, 2007, Infant son Gordon Albert, daughters Dale Reid and Joanne Brazil (Edward) Bell Island. Leaving to mourn Five daughters Vanita Bartlett (Joseph) Bell Island, Marjorie Hutchings (John) Bell Island, Beverly Hiscott (Roland) Ontario, Lorraine Beck (Wayne) Ontario, Janet Brazil (Bernard) Bell Island. Three sons David Reid (Michelle) Bell Island, Gordon Reid (Janet) Bell Island and Daniel Brazil (Emily) Bell Island, 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Sister-in-law- Lucy Newman (Bill) Bell Island, brothers-in law Dougal Reid (Sarah) Bell Island, Gordon Reid (Belinda) Cambridge, also many nieces, nephews and friends. Flowers graciously accepted or donations made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association. The family wish to acknowledge the great care mom received in her six year stay at the Bell Island Hospital from Dr. Alexa Laurie, Dr. Walter Tucker and all nursing staff. Thank you for your care and compassion. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home Bell Island, Visitation Sunday June 19th and Monday June 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday June 21st at 11 a.m. from the United Church Bell Island. Interment to follow at St. Cyprians Anglican Cemetery Bell Island.
