It is with great sadness that we, the family regret to announce the sudden passing of Herb, Sept. 6, 2009.
Born in Sydney Mines, Herb was the son of Annie (Pye) and the late Kenneth Snow. Herb was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend.
Herb is survived by his wife, Bernadette (Tromans), Boularderie; and daughter, Irene, Riverview, N.B. Besides his mother, he is survived by brothers, Victor (Judy), Port Hastings, Leonard (Susan), Lower Sackville; sisters, Irene (Roddy) McGilvery, Riverview, N.B., Isaline (Owen) Deveaux, Alder Point, Hannah (Mitch) LeBlanc, Grand Cayman, Darlene (Gordon) Fry, Alberta, and Jean (Kenny) MacGuigan, Leitches Creek. Herb will be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, Maurice, Avery and Liam (Judy) Tromans and father-in-law, Ben Tromans, all of Boularderie; as well as sister-in-law, Debbie (Gilbert) MacDonald and Rosalie (Freeman) MacDonald, all of Sydney. Also many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Herb was formerly employed many years at Prince Colliery and was currently employed with Marine Atlantic. Herb was a member of the Northside Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 786 Alexandra St., Sydney on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at 2 p.m.
