Ronald Richard "Ron" Wallace

WALLACE, Ronald Richard "Ron" - 71, of Valley, Colchester County, passed away of pancreatic cancer on Saturday, June 18, 2011, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born on Jauary 4, 1940 in Wilmot Station, Annapolis
County, he was a son of the late Reginald Howard and Mable Glendean (Gillis) Wallace. Ron was a 35 year member of the Valley Kempton Fire Hall and a 40 year member of the Legion. He worked for 35 years at Kingston Aluminum Products. Ron enjoyed life and he was an active and very kind man. Ron is
survived by his wife, Diane Paulette (Smith); daughters, Tina Swan; Darlene (Tony) Skinner; grandchildren, Ashley and Kristan Swan, Paige and Tyler Skinner; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Desiree and one on the way; brothers, Gary (Ester) Wallace; Bobby Wallace; sister, Beverly (Bruce) McGregor; many nieces and nephews; his dog, Buddy, who stayed by his side while he was so sick at home. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lohnes-DeMont Funeral and Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held at the Valley Kempton Fire Hall, Valley, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, all are invited to attend. Donations in memory of Ron may be made to the family or to a charity of one's choice.
