NIELSEN, MARY GENEVIEVE - Mary Genevieve Nielsen of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Max Nielsen, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 20, 1920, Mary was the daughter of the late Charles and Casta (Stubbs) Voutour. Mary is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Max, brother Joseph and sister Cecilia. She is survived by nephews William and Ronald Kushneryk, Joseph and Stewart Voutour, one niece Patricia Lynn Allison and two nephews-in-law Henrik and Mohns Jackobsen.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11:00 am from St. Joseph’s Church, Loch Lomond Road with Reverend Bill Elliott as Celebrant. Interment to take place on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 10:00 am at South Branch Roman Catholic Cemetery, Sussex, NB.
