SULLIVAN, LEONARD “LEN” BLAINE - With great sadness the family of Leonard “Len” Blaine Sullivan announce his sudden passing on Monday, June 20th, 2011 at his summer home at Davidson Lake. Born January 9th, 1942, he was a son of the late Theodore and Grace (Friars) Sullivan. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Terry Sullivan. Len worked at Wood Motors for 35 years. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time at his business Sully’s Produce. In his earlier years, he was an avid hockey player with the original Fredericton CAPS and went on to win a provincial title. He was also a member of the Marysville Juvenile Legionnaires baseball team that went on to win the NB title. Len can also be seen at the Sports Wall of Fame located at the Delta Hotel. He is also survived by his sons Stephen Sullivan (Nancy), Terry Hawkins (Peggy), Don Hawkins and Philip Hawkins; two daughters Pat Scott and Debbie Eckstein (Bob); 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers Ted (Dawn), Billy (Lorraine), Brian, Barry (Florence); a sister Bonnie Cross (Burrell); several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Danny.
Visitation will take place Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 PM from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Conard Symonds officiating. Cremation to follow with burial at a later date. The family has suggested that memorial contributions be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
