It is with immense sorrow the family of Jamie Lee Hoban announce her sudden and unexpected passing on September 4, 2009.
Jamie was born on April 22, 1991 and was a student at Manitouwadge High School, Ontario, where she was a member of the senior girls basketball and volleyball teams. One of Jamie’s proudest accomplishments was in 2009 when they won the senior girls basketball championship banner (NSSSAA), Jamie was awarded Most-Sportsman-Like Player for that year.
Jamie’s cell phone was her addiction, the hotline never stopped. Jamie was always full of life and was loved by everyone who knew her. Jamie was kind and compassionate to all, with a deep respect for people. Jamie touched so many lives. We will miss her wonderful personality, her infectious laugh and her huge bear hugs.
Jamie will be sadly missed by her loving parents, Gary and Mary Ann as well as her brother, Michael and her grandparents, Frank and Sharon Reiser and Ernest Hoban Sr. As well Jamie will be sadly missed by her aunts, Linda (Danny) Tourout and Judy (Barry) MacKeigan and her uncles Frank (Shari) Reiser and Ernie (Allison) Hoban Jr. Jamie will also be missed by her cousins, Danielle, Rhyan, Maria, Brittany, Bailey, Brandon, Taylor and special baby cousin Ayden.
Jamie was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Muriel Hoban.
A funeral service for Jamie was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Manitouwadge, ON, on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, beginning at 1 p.m. with 650 people in attendance.
Arrangements are entrusted to the King Funeral Home in Schreiber ON.
Gary, Mary Ann and Michael would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped them during this difficult time.
