The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, of Hazel O’Brien (nee MacLaren) of Goose River, age 88 years.
Wife of the late William (Buster) O’Brien. Survived by brothers: Roddie and Hubert MacLaren; sisters: Helena Mullin, Gladys MacLaren, Alice MacKinnon and Hilda MacLaren. Predeceased by brothers: Gus, Jack, Raymond and Frank; and sisters: Dottie Larken and Celia Bolus.
Resting at the Doctor Roddie Community Centre in St. Peters for visiting hours on Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Friday afternoon, June 24, 2011, to St. Peters Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 2 p.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
