February 17, 1925 - July 1, 2010

Lorraine was born and raised in Kamloops. She was the second child of Albert and Florence Gatien. She attended school at St. Ann's Academy.

When married, she immigrated first to Los Angeles and then to Orange County, California, where she raised her family and worked within the Orange County school system.

She was predeceased by her parents Florence and Albert Gatien, her infant daughter Jacqueline, sister Anne, and brother Harold.

She is survived by her daughters Debbie (Jim), Marie (Rick), Joanne (Rick) and Michele (Jim); and her sons John (Paula) and Bill (Kathie).

She was blessed with fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

In Kamloops she leaves her brother Joseph (Nora) Gatien, nephews Joe (Pam) Gatien and Bert (Denise) Gatien, and niece Mary Lynn (Jim) Fornelli, as well as her dear friends Lois Gagne and Claire Muzzillo.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on July 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Fr. Derrick Cameron, celebrant.

Interment to follow at Pleasant Street Cemetery.
