It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our son, dad, brother and uncle, Gregory Peck.
Born in Baddeck he was the son of Benjamin and the late Elizabeth (Pierro) Peck.
He was the husband of the late Cheryl Peck.
Surviving are his son, Cameron Battiste, Eskasoni; sisters, Sandra and Jane; brothers, Leonard, Abraham, Eugene, Anthony, Roger, Benjamin (Martha), Calvin and Lester (Ann). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of Wagmatcook.
He was predeceased by sister, Martha and brother Cyril, his twin daughters, at birth, Angelina and Angelica, godchildren, Cyndi Joy Peck and Elizabeth Anne Peck, niece, Vanessa, nephews, Joshua, Cyrus and Nilan.
Gregory was employed by the Wagmatcook band council.
He loved to fish, play bingo and cards. He also enjoyed wearing his cowboy hats.
Visitation for Gregory will begin at 3 p.m, Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Centre. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at the Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Church with Fr. Robert MacNeil officiating. Burial will be at the Queen of the World Cemetery. After the service, a feast and salite will follow at the Wagmatcook Culture Centre.
