General Motors Retiree – Peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2011, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, formerly of Village Green, in his 82nd year.
Stan, beloved husband for 56 years of Jean MacNeill (nee Jeffery). Much loved father of Debbie Marin and her husband Brian Heard, April Nabeeh and her husband Rick Duchene, and Kim and her husband Neil Burns. Proud Papa of Gregory (Lindsay), Joshua, Ashley, Khalid, Sarah, and the late Justin. Dear brother of Barton (Helen) MacNeill, Hester (Bud) Lazenby of Vancouver and is predeceased by Alex, Jean, Preston, and Arnold. Stan will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends and neighbours.
Stan lived a full life enjoying the many hours spent outside his garage visiting with his family, friends and neighbours as they dropped by for a chat.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Armstrong Funeral Home. Following Stan’s wishes no funeral services will be held. Memorial donations to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children would be greatly appreciated by Stan’s family.
