It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of William Allen which occurred on Thursday Sept. 10, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Dartmouth on March 5, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Summers) Allen.
William is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Benvie) Allen; two daughters, Maribeth Allen, (Sandy), Dartmouth, Kathryn (John) MacPherson, Rothesay, N.B.; son, Robert (Carolyn), Grand Prairie, Alta.; sister, Dorothy, Sydney; as well as his five grandchildren, Britni, K-lyn, Nathan, Airn and Sera.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service at Bill’s request. A family burial will take place at a later date.
Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
A special thank you to the nursing staff of 4B and 4C of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, and also the Harbourview Rehab Centre.
