Passed away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on Sept. 10, 2009, Mary Beatrice Traverse (Power), age 83 of Placentia. She was born in Petite Forte, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Beatrice Power. Predeceased by her husband Michael, siblings Mary, Tom, Clara and Phil. She leaves to mourn her children Edna (Roger), Carl (Rose), Dermot (Bertha), Evelyn (Dave) and Christopher (Marg); nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister Gert; also a large circle of other relatives and friends, especially the residents and the staff of the Lions Manor Nursing Home. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made to a charity of your choice. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday and Sunday from 2 -9 p.m. Funeral mass to take place on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia. Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.
