LETSON, ROBERT - The death of Robert Edward Letson of Kingston, NB formerly of Upper Golden Grove, husband of the late Joan (Quigg) Letson, occurred on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit with his family by his side. Born in Saint John, NB, on September 11, 1934 he was a son of the late George and Frieda (Swinn) Letson. Robert is survived by his son Darren Letson (Erin Dunphy) of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, sister Hilda Daigle, sister-in-law Janet Stewart (Bruce Capson) all of Saint John, NB, three grandchildren Shawna, Robyn and Brooklyn, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents George and Frieda, loving wife Joan, he was predeceased by his half brothers Phil Letson, Alphie Letson, George Letson, Roy Letson, half sisters Maude Connolly, Alice Mazerolle, Kathleen Letson and brother-in law Joseph Daigle. Robert worked for District 8 as a Bus Driver, after retiring from the CNR as a Senior Clerk for 34 years. He was an avid bowler, bowling with the CN Pensioners and the Forrester’s, and drove for various car dealerships with their shuttle. Robert had a love for dogs especially his pal Odie.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visiting on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 1:00 pm from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ed Coleman officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
