TAYLOR, SHIRLEY (DOBSON) - Shirley Ann (Dobson) Taylor passed away on June 15, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital, Toronto, with her family by her side after a courageous fight with breast cancer. Shirley was born in Saint John on July 23, 1948, the daughter of the late Charles and Connie (Hersey) Dobson. She is survived by her husband Giles, son Wayne (Zavi) Schmidt, Toronto, and daughter Shelley Canas, Connecticut. Her three grand- children Owen, Anna and Emma Canas, her brother Charles, sisters Edith (Bill) Chilton, Saint John, Ruth (Steven) Northeast, Sussex and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was an active member of the Certified General Accountants Association rising to the post of past chair of the Toronto Chapter. Shirley was widely respected in her field of work.
She was laid to rest at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Innisfil, Ont.
