John Schaffer, aged 90 years of Central Butte, SK, passed away Sunday, June 26th, 2011. John was born on December 11th, 1920 at Central Butte, SK to Jacob and Ida Schaffer. John was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Ida (nee Zimmerman); brother, Ernie; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma and Nic Nicol, Ada and Kuno Mohl and Elva and Jim Hein; and nephew, Leslie Schaffer. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Jake (Joan); sisters, Freida, Josephine and Agnes of Indian Head; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service for all those who shared in John’s life will be held on Thursday, June 30th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Sunset Cemetery, with Pastor Marvin Seaborg officiating. A Time of Fellowship will follow in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Donations in John’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2M2.
