JACKSON, Violet (nee Jerrett)– March 31, 1916 - November 16, 2008. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, November 16, 2008, Violet Jackson of Cavendish, aged 92 years. Violet is predeceased by her parents Georgina and Gilbert Jerrett, husbands Joseph Roach (1940) and Anthony Jackson (2000), also infant daughter Hilda Roach (1937), three grandchildren: Rob Suykens, Ricky Suykens and Jimmy Jackson, brother Hubert Jerrett, a number of sisters and brothers-in-law and special nephew, Alonzo Jackson. She leaves to mourn 11 children and their spouses: Delores (Garfield) Porter, St. John’s, Marina (Jim) Rogin, Dover, Deleware, Joe (Gladys) Roach, Strome, Alta., Janet (Bob) Suykens, Vineland, Ont., Jim (Barbro) Jackson, Loretta (Stan) Uens, Violet (George) Coish, Pearl (Roy) Bishop of Cavendish, Betty (Ron) Case, Amherst, N.S., Gail (Ted) Davis, New Harbour, Dale (Bruce) McDonald, Redmondville, N.B. Also lovingly remembered by 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; sister Pearl Simmons, Buchans and Clara Jackson (Cliff), Cavendish; brothers: Elias (Edna) Jerrett, Cavendish and Bill Jerrett, Dildo; brothers-in-law: John Jackson, Cavendish and sister-in-law Carol Jackson, Pasadena, as well as a Marge number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at Cavendish United Church, Cavendish, Monday, November 17th until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from Cavendish United Church on Wednesday, November 19th at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at United Church Cemetery, Cavendish. As an expression of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Palliative Care Unit, Carbonear General Hospital or Cavendish United Church.
