Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on September 11th, 2009, Mary Phyllis Burt RN, aged 90. Left with fond and loving memories – son Rick (Eleanor); sister Violet Bennett, Montreal Quebec; sisters-in-law Marjorie Rogers, Helen Burt, and Jean Burt; brothers-in-law Max Burt (Joan), and David Burt (Joan); extended family Denise and Lew Andrews and the Andrews family, and a large circle of other family, nursing colleagues and friends. A special thank you to the owners, management, staff, and residents of Margaret’s Manor who were her second family. Their love, respect, and kindness for Mary will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Memorial Service to take place from Carnell’s Memorial Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
