Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Centre on Friday, September 11, 2009. Gideon Parsons, aged 83 years. Predeceased by his son Clyde (1982), brothers Alex and William, sisters Violet and Nellie. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Olive; daughter Cheryl (Bert) LeBlanc; sons: William (Judy), Clayton (Cathy), Barry (Penny); daughter-in-law Cynthia; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Sunday, September 13 and Monday, September 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will take place from St. Philip’s Anglican Church on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery.
