À l’hôpital Anna-Laberge de Châteauguay, est décédé paisiblement Ivan Charles Merlin.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée Jean, ses fils Gary et Don (Verna), sa petite-fille Mélissa (sa fille Scarlett), ses petits-fils Nicholas (Denika) et Zachary (Emily).

Ivan laisse également dans le deuil sa sœur Linda et son beau-frère Calvin Lamb. Il est précédé par son fils Randal, sa sœur et son beau-frère Erna
et Andrew Somerville et son beau-frère Ken Lamb. Son absence sera ressentie par ses neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines ainsi que plusieurs amis de sa communauté.

La famille désire exprimer sa profonde gratitude à ceux qui l’ont visité à la maison, à l’équipe du C.L.S.C., les infirmiers/ères et les docteurs qui étaient impliqués dans ses soins à l’hôpital Barrie Memorial, l’hôpital Charles-Lemoyne et l’hôpital Anna-Laberge.

Nous vous sommes reconnaissants pour l’amour, les câlins, les conversations intéressantes, les blagues ainsi que nos souvenirs partagés. Cela nous a aidés à passer les journées et à vivre le moment présent.

Des dons en sa mémoire peuvent être fait au Service des incendies de Hemmingford, à la Société Canadienne du cancer ou toute autre association ou fondation de votre choix.

Une célébration hommage à sa vie, ainsi que son inhumation auront lieu à une date ultérieure.

Passed away peacefully at the Chateauguay Anna-Laberge Hospital.

He leaves behind his loving wife Jean, their sons Gary and Don (Verna), granddaughter Melissa and her daughter Scarlett, his grandson Nicholas (Denika) and Zachary (Emily), Ivan’s sister Linda and his brother-in-law Calvin Lamb.

He was predeceased by his son Randal, his sister and brother-in-law Erna and Andrew Somerville and his brother-in-law Ken Lamb.

He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends in the community.

The family wish to express their profound gratitude to those who visited him at home, the staff from the C.L.S.C, the nurses and doctors who were involved in his care at the Barrie Memorial Hospital, the Charles-Lemoyne Hospital and the Anna-Laberge Hospital.

We are grateful for the love, hugs, interesting conversations, jokes and reminders of memories spent together. This helped to pass the time and to live in the moment.

Donation in his memory may be made to the Hemmingford Fire Department, to the Canadian Cancer Society or to an organization of your choice.

A Celebration of Life and his burial will take place at an undecided date.
