The death occurred on June 29, 2011, at Whisperwood Villa, Charlottetown, of Bertram Vincent Ranahan (Bert), formerly of Morell East Road and Mount Stewart, aged 88 years.
Survived by his loving wife, Marian, (Ronaghan) of Mount Stewart and his sons Earl (Janice), of Peakes, David (Arlene), of Bangor Road, Vince (Anne) of Moncton, John, of Morell, Kevin (Celeste), of Morell East and Melvin, of Mount Stewart. Also survived by his grandchildren Nicholas, Laura, Jenna, Vanessa, Calvin, Josie and great-grandchildren Jolene, Lincoln and Jace; by his sisters Marie (Alphonses) Chaisson, Lucy Gallant, and Phyllis ‘Bonnie,’ widow of the late Leonard MacKinnon. Predeceased by his parents Sadie and Vincent Ranahan and sisters Annie Ranahan and Jean Gallant.
Resting at St. Teresa, The Little Flower Church, Morell, for visitation on Friday, July 1, 2011, from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, July 2, 2011, at St. Teresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church for
funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
