He had a flair for art and won numerous prizes for his art work at the fair. That’s how he got spending money for the fair. His family was important to him. He loved all his nieces and nephews dearly and their kids as well. He took beautiful pictures of them and babysat his newest great nephew (Cody) in the last two years. For the past ten months or so, he worked at the Living Sky Casino as a dealer. He loved all the people there and never missed a chance to visit with them. Before that he worked as a waiter, bartender and manager in various hotels and restaurants in Swift Current and in British Columbia. He was a people person and could make anyone feel special with his caring and charming ways. In the past few years he spent a lot of time outside, close to Mother Earth. He walked his dogs along the walking path by the creek. He took many beautiful pictures of nature scenes, dogs and kids. He stayed at Danny and Shirley’s farm for the last year or so, where he was in his glory with nature and animals. He also stayed with is sister, Judy, when he was working at the casino. He walked all over Swift Current with his little dogs, Bert and Oreo. As he walked he would pick up paper cups and garbage – his way of cleaning up Mother Earth. He would stop to smoke or to visit with people he met along the way. He was a great cook and liked to entertain and cook for friends and family. He was also a decorator, always changing and decorating the house or yard. He will be sadly missed but always remembered by everyone who knew him.
