EBBY GARDINER
It is with deep appreciation and heartfelt gratitude that we, the family of the Ebby Gardiner, wish to express our sincere thanks to our family, friends and neighbours for the support shown to us during Ebby's illness and passing, your compassion was truly appreciated. To those of you who expressed your condolences by means of telephone calls, visits, sympathy / mass cards, emails, facebook messages, made memorial donations, sent flowers and brought food to our homes, thank you. To those, who attended the wake and funeral mass, Father Ajit Kerketta, the readers Ruth Gardiner, Gary Gardiner, Allyson Campbell, the servers Brittany and Alicia Burton, St. Pius X Choir, and the CWL for the reception after the service, thank you. To the Honorary Pallbearers, Brian Matthews, Sonny Oliver, Greg Bonaparte, Johnnie MacNeil, Gary Gardiner and Barry Donnelly, thank you; Ebby would have been so proud. Thanks to Manning, Ian and Erika at Jobes Funeral Home, you made a difficult time so much easier. To the doctors and nursing staff of the An Cala Palliative care Unit, thank you. Your care of Ebby during her stay was second to none. Thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Cape Breton Cancer for the care and kindness shown to Ebby during the course of his many treatments. To the VON nurses, thank you; Ebby looked forward to your visits and thought of you all as friends. To Susan MacKenzie, thank you for looking after Ebby and myself, it gave us great comfort knowing you were there for us. To Ebby's "special nurses", you all know, who you are; thank you; not only for the many kindnesses shown to Ebby, but to our family as well, you are truly wonderful people, and finally to our staff members, thank you for keeping our business running smoothly during such a difficult time; we appreciate each and every one of you. To anyone who helped us in any way we are forever grateful.
