The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, July 3, 2011, of Marjorie Cameron, of Summerside, aged 78 years. Born in Searletown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Hilda (Heffell) Leard. Survived by her husband Elwood Cameron; son Leslie Cameron; daughter Janet (Joe) Vessey; granddaughter Mary-Lynn Blanchard (Danny McMurrer); grandson Alex Blanchard; great-granddaughter Alyssa McMurrer; brothers and sisters Harry (Gail) Leard; Allan (Margaret) Leard; Dorothy (Herman) Penner; Marilyn (Peter) Morrison; Donald (Lauretta) Leard; and Velda (Garry) Paynter. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. A private family graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. No visiting hours by personal request. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Bedeque Baptist Church on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
